Classics for the wall – posters
The poster to the right (or below, if you see this on a phone) contains the complete text of Bram Stoker’s classic novel “Dracula” from 1897. It’s readable from beginning to end, though it is unlikely that anyone would read it in its entirety in this format. When it comes to actual, longer reading, a book is far superior.
What the poster does give, is an immediate and complete overview, an understanding of the structure and size of a long text, which is hard to see in book form. There’s also a plain fascination in seeing a book (maybe even a loved one) in this unusual way.
This series includes the following books in poster format: Bram Stoker’s Dracula, James Joyce’s Ulysses (extra-wide, below), Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary, Friedrich Nietzsche’s Beyond Good and Evil, and Charles Darwin’s On The Origin of Species (all texts in the public domain, and therefore reproducible). All posters contain the full, unabridged text from an authoritative edition of the work in readable type.
Printed on museum grade paper. Dimensions vary, but a typical size is 110 x 160 cm.
